Amalfi, May 2015 - U of I EXPLORERS Photolog

Our story

The sights, sounds, and smells of the Amalfi Coast are absolutely intoxicating, and we were able to see and savor it all on our tour with the University of Illinois Explorers. Daily drives along the coast were breathtaking, plus the views of lemon and olive trees, the masterful architecture, and the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea did not disappoint. Not only does the coast have beautiful scenery, but the rich history of the Campania region ranges from Greek Temples in Paestum, to the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum, and the cathedrals of each coastal village. It was truly a magical experience!
